The Mozambican government on Monday honoured a dozen exporters and investors in the country, an event witnessed by the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo.

The awards come as part of the 60th edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM), an event that began yesterday at Ricatla in Marracuene district, southern Maputo province.

To this end, as the largest exporter for large projects, a classification unique to this issue, the government awarded mining company Vulcan, which has been operating coal mines in the Moatize district, Tete province, central Mozambique, since 2022.

Meanwhile, the southern province of Gaza took the title of Province of Honour yesterday, for showcasing its agricultural, mineral, and tourism potential. South Africa was awarded the title of Country of Honour at the 60th edition of FACIM.
